Double Dragon roars back to life in 2025! Arc System Works America, Inc. unveiled Double Dragon Revive, a new title bringing back beloved characters from the hit fighting video game series to PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam next year.
During Brasil Game Show 2024 this week, Arc System Works America, Inc. shared a first look at Willy, an enemy boss character coming to Double Dragon Revive!
Double Dragon Revive will bring familiar boss characters from earlier games in the series, including new and exciting looks. As the cruel leader of the Shadow Warriors who rule the city, Willy returns as a boss character, once again standing in the player’s way with a whole new look and wielding his machine gun to perform action-packed moves!
The official website introduces the game’s story, set 15 years since the end of the nuclear war. People who managed to survive have built colonies in various parts of the devastated world – however, the concept of a country has been lost and the powerful people who govern the colonies now control the politics and laws. One colony established on the coast is a city ruled by the Shadow Warriors gang and since they took control, the gap between rich and poor in the colony has intensified. The people living in the slums have been forced to live a hard life, and there are constant rumors of mysterious disappearances.
The Lee brothers, masters of the Sosetsuken, live in a corner of such a city along with theirchildhood friend, Marian. When honest younger brother Billy and free-spirited older brother Jimmy find the Sosetsuken dojo they inherit ending in the way of the city’s evil schemes, the story begins…
DOUBLE DRAGON fans are also invited to visit the Steam “Community Hub,” which can be accessed from Double Dragon Revive’s Steam store page. Through this hub, Arc System Works will be posting short stories that are not published in press releases or on the official website.
