ABOUT “THE MISSING – J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories –“
Stunning visuals, landscape, and a generous serving of Americana, combined with what is known as SWERISM–his signature style of unconventional illustrations–sets the tone of this game.
J.J scours Memoria Island to find her best friend, who has gone missing during a camping trip. However, this island was like a nightmare: no matter how many times she sustains fatal injury, she can’t die, and instead is somehow able to revive herself back to normal. J.J ventures into the depth of the island as she drags her mutilated body along, enduring the pain. In order to save her best friend, she puts her own body and life on the line, reviving infinitely, as she presses forward.
Why did Emily go missing? What is going on in this world? Why does she suddenly have these strange abilities?
CHARACTERS
J.J. – Main protagonist. She searches the depths Memoria Island to find her best friend Emily.
Emily – J.J.’s best friend. She suddenly disappears one night during a camping trip on Memoria Island.
F.K. – A doll J.J. has had since childhood. It is worn out because J.J. takes it everywhere she goes.
Hair Skrieker – With long white hair and a giant razor knife, this mystery being haunts visitors of Memoria Island
GAME SYSTEM
Many obstacles along your path will encourage you to deliberately run into traps to solve the puzzles, such as hitting your head on a demolition ball to turn gravity upside down, or utilizing your decapitated limbs to your advantage. Think deeply about how you can utilize the environment and powers.
